The Service Recipient functions in the moderate range of mental retardation and has exhibited frequent, severe behaviors.
The program is a 2-bedroom corporate foster care home staffed 1:1, 24 hours by shift staff. The townhome is located in Dakota County. The program is supervised by a Program Coordinator/Division Manager/Designated Coordinator.
Services are open ended and individualized. The Service Recipient is offered programming in independent living skills and is encouraged to function as independently as possible in the daily routine in and out of the home. Therapeutic intervention ranges from individual counseling from community resources to highly structured behavioral interventions. Service Recipient is encouraged to participate in all decision-making processes. Close monitoring and support are provided to program participants to assist them in structuring their time and activities in a positive and appropriate manner.
